When traveling in our RV, we frequently need to get onto the roof to set the TV antennae, clear off branches, or just check out how it looks up there. Our Shadow Cruise structurally cannot support a rear ladder like a lot of other RVs so the telescoping ladder just made sense for us.
These telescoping ladders collapse to a very manageable size, generally around three feet in height. Storing the ladder is a breeze as it either goes right into the travel trailers front storage area or even behind the truck seat.
These extendable ladders can be opened to the full height or set to any height you prefer – each step locks in place for safety. The one thing I will say is that it took me a while to figure out the best way to extend the ladder as it can be a bit unwieldy – we’ve found that setting the ladder up vertically and then pulling up from the top, one rung at a time, works the best.
