Imagine yourself camping in a cool campground in very humid weather. If you’re like me, you’ll just wither up and die. John knew this about me and surprised me one day by walking in with the Soleus mister fan you see there below.
John selected this portable misting fan as it has its own water holding tank so it doesn’t have to be hooked directly to a hose. I frequently camp in areas without water or sewer at the sites.
The Lasko Outdoor Misting Fan and the Holmes are also both highly rated; both of these specific misters require an inline hose hookup – the hose must be connected and turned on. They’re both excellent values also though and will decrease the ambient temperature by as much as 20 degrees.
I’m menopausal (no snickers needed from the men out there….) so John also invested in a few personal misting fans for me. My favorite is the The Original Handy Cooler Fan (1st item below). There’s a sponge in the thing that you wet with just 2 ounces of water. Turning on the fan (either battery or electric) gives you a wonderful cooling mist.
